Admission, Attendance, and Examination Policies: B.E.M.S. Certification Course
Admission Requirements:
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 50% marks in their Higher Secondary Education (+2) examination.
- Selection Criteria: Admission to the B.E.M.S. program is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying +2 examination.
- Eligibility for Board Enrollment: Qualified medical professionals are eligible for enrollment with the governing board.
- Nationality and Age: Applicants must be Indian citizens and at least 17 years of age.
- Document Verification: Candidates attending the admission interview must present the following original documents:
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate (S.S.L.C.) and +2 mark sheets, or degree mark sheets.
- Provisional certificate or degree certificate (if applicable).
- Conduct certificate.
- Transfer certificate.
- Medical fitness certificate.
- Community certificate.
- Fee Payment: Selected candidates are required to pay the admission fees immediately following the interview.
- Fee Refund Policy: Fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Document Retention: Original documents submitted during admission will be retained by the institute until the student completes the program. Students are advised to make sufficient photocopies of their original documents prior to submission.
- Ineligibility: Admission will be revoked if a student is found to be ineligible after enrollment.
- Language of Instruction: The medium of instruction is English.
Attendance Policy:
- Minimum Attendance: A minimum of 85% attendance in each subject is mandatory for regular students to be eligible to appear for the final examinations.
- Attendance Deficiency: Students failing to meet the minimum attendance requirement will not be permitted to take the regular examinations.
- Re-enrollment: Students with less than 60% attendance must re-enroll in the next regular batch to be eligible for subsequent examinations.
Examination Policy:
- Examination Schedule: The B.E.M.S. board examinations are held annually at the end of February at the institute campus.
- Examination Format: Examinations include theory, oral, and practical components.
- Marking Scheme: Each subject carries 150 marks, with 100 marks allocated to theory and oral components, and 50 marks to practical examinations.
- Passing Criteria: Students must achieve a minimum of 40% marks in the combined theory and oral components, and 40% marks in the practical examinations to pass.
Revaluation Policy:
- Application Period: Students may apply for revaluation within 15 days of the official result announcement.
- Late Applications: Revaluation requests submitted after the 15-day period will not be processed.
- Revaluation Charges: Applicable revaluation fees must be paid.
Supplementary Examination Policy:
- Supplementary Schedule: Students who fail the March board examinations may appear for supplementary examinations in September.
- Supplementary Charges: Applicable supplementary examination fees must be paid.
